The AKEI International Exhibition Certification is administered by the Association of Korea Exhibition Industry (AKEI), which has been entrusted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy with operating the exhibition certification system.

Under this system, exhibition data submitted by organizers—including exhibition area, number of exhibitors, visitor attendance, and detailed statistics—is independently verified against standardized criteria. Certification is granted following a review by the certification committee.
